Dear Race Logic,
I thought I would drop you an email and let you know
how pleased I am with your porting work. WOW, What a
difference! My Polaris 400 went from being a toy to
beating quite a few Banshees.
Having that good experience with my SportPort Template
System, I decided to try your work on my 2001 800 Polaris
RMK and I bought another template. I'll admit I was
quite nervous. Out here in the Rockies we ride at 8-10000
feet and a bad port job can destroy your machine...
..When I done with the porting I thought that something
had gone wrong. I'd never seen any porting like that
before. I wasn't really sure what to expect because
of the way the porting looked to me. I decided to trust
you and give it a try. I put my motor back together,
opened the airbox a little and ran it.
WOW!!!
At first my clutching was off and I had to adjust a
thing or two. When I got it right the thing just came
alive. Before my porting I was getting beat by 800 Skidoo's
with heavier riders. (By the way I'm not proud to say
that I'm checking in at around 6' 2" and 250lbs.) Now
I was leaving them in my snowdust. Anyone who knows
anything about mountain riding knows that 50-60 lbs
is worth about 100-200 cc's when climbing. I was outclimbing
these 800 Skidoo riders who were 50-70 lbs lighter then
me.
My friend has an identical 800 RMK to mine. In a short
500 foot race I will smoke him by 7-10 sled lengths.
That is HUGE!
If there are any mountain riders who may read this and
wonder if Race Logic will work work for their sled then
I am here to tell you that it will and it is probably
the most well spent money I have ever put into a sled.
I am putting pipes on it this week and can't wait to
feel this bad boy get even badder.
Thanks Race Logic. "I'll be back!"

Dear Race Logic,
I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for the
GREAT job you did on my sled. It is a rocket.......way
more bang for my buck than I expected.
If you ever need a recommendation feel free to have
people contact me about your work. There hasn't been
a 700 that has been even close to me and i'm not to
far off with most of the 800's either.
Once again thanks for the awesome work and believe me
when I say you will be getting my future business.

Dear
Race Logic,
I ported the cylinder on my Polaris
and I am writing this as a testimony for your product.
I received the porting kit and read the instruction
manual through several times to fully understand the
procedures. It was obvious that the exhaust port was
going to take some cutting and contouring.
I started with the exhaust port on Monday night. I have
to admit, it was very hard to restrain my self from
hogging it out. I had to keep reminding myself that
if I was such an expert at porting, then why did I spend
time getting a porting kit.
It took several hours just for the exhaust port. I assume
that's normal for a "First timer". I kept re-evaluating
the the job and continued until I had a smooth transition
from the port window to the exhaust flange. I have to
admit, I was a bit impressed with the visual results.
The intake port was a bit more of a challenge because
of the small size, which I did on Tuesday night. I used
a Dremmel and found it hard reaching all the way to
the port window and getting the tool angled correctly
to do the cutting, especially with the oil injection
nozzle sticking up in the port. The next time I do this
I will purchase the extension attachment for the dremmel.
The intake took several hours as well. And I found there
to be more contouring to do then I originally thought.
Wednesday afternoon I began assembling the engine. A
new Wiseco piston was installed because everyone tells
me that Polaris pistons like to crack.
A little over two hours later, I fired up the engine.
I goosed the throttle several times and noticed it was
definitely snappier then before. After the initial break-in
time, I did a compression test to see what difference
the .020 cut on the head would make. Before, the compression
was 120psi. Now it was 140psi.
I took it for a short ride. I tried several light romps
of the throttle. The throttle response is a lot better
now! The engine seems to have a slightly different tone
now. I put a few miles on it and rode a little harder.
I brought it home for a second going over to make sure
everything is tight and re-torqued the head, etc.
I rode again yesterday and I opened it up a little bit.
I didn't wind it up but man, what a nice feeling. I
actually had to hold on tight to the handlebars.
Man this thing has a lot more power! I zipped up several
hills that before would make the engine bog about half
way up. Not anymore. The engine was pulling like it
was no effort. And that wasn't even full throttle. Before
I would do a doughnut on the dirt and half way around
the tires would start grabbing and the engine would
bog down. Now it spins around and takes off burning
up the trail. Man, what a total turn around. And all
this with the stock exhaust, carburetor jetting and
clutch. I just ordered the clutch kit. It definitely
needs it now.
Normally I ride my Honda 250 when I ride with "The Big
Boys" but I have a feeling that is going to change now!
Thank you very much Race Logic.

Two Years ago I called John @ Race Logic
and asked him about his porting templates for
modifing my Mach Z...I very concerned about
porting my cylinders myself and John assured
me that the templates were very easy to use
and to TAKE MY TIME doing the porting and if I
had any questions that he would be there fore
me...when I recieved the templates I placed
them into the cylinder to be ported and WOW,
looks like I had a lot of work to do...the
exhaust transfer ports looked like that was
going to be the most difficult part to do...I
needed to purchase a small right angle die
grinder to get into those exhaust transfer
ports to do the job...It worked...the main
exhaust port was widened quite abit and raised
just a little...all in all doing the exhaust
ports took about 5 hours and I have to say
that I was proud of how they turned out...The
next step was to do the intake port
side...this required placing the intake port
template onto the base of the cylinder skirt
on the intake side and doing some major
cutting...this took about two hours to do...I
was beginning to realize why people that do
porting charge what they do for this
service...For me to port all three cylinders
took about 23 hours, oh but this was a labor
of love for sure...I called John if I had to
do anything to the Cylinder Head because the
exhaust port was raised...he said to mill .010
off and that would really help...Fast
forward...on the inital start up of my sled I
noticed that the motor would pickup rpm's alot
faster...I checked for leaks and everything
was ok...I took the sled out for a ride and
Holy Cow, what a difference. a really big
difference...so I went back to the garage and
started my other Mach Z which was totally
stock, same year, same everything except for
the Race Logic Porting...It was like comparing
a 700 triple to a 809 triple...It felt like I
picked up another 100CC's...As of to date I
have put over 4000 miles on my sled...all
trail riding and no problems at all...Would I
do it again? In a heart beat! Al.
